Kerri Leanne Delores Wood, 31, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019. Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Urban Native Center in Sioux City with Terry Medina officiating. A visitation will begin at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2019 until the time of service, at the center. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery following services. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City.

Kerri was born on January 30, 1988 in Sioux City to Larry Wood and Carla Hallum. Kerri was a very intelligent woman. In 2006, she graduated with honors from South Sioux City High School and later attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Growing up, Kerri was always very motherly and this stayed with her into adulthood. She was always taking care of her family, nieces, nephews, and her own son. She was a lover of the animal kingdom, especially cats, dogs, and her turtles. Kerri enjoyed going on walks with her mom, going shopping and thrifting. She was an avid sports fan, "Go Huskers!" She was always up for a good laugh and will be missed by many. Kerri was a quiet but very outgoing person. She loved Tate and Titus with all her heart.

Those left to cherish her memory: Fiancé, Tate Gordon and their son, Titus; mother, Carla Hallum; father, Larry Wood; siblings, Tony (fiancée, Candace Payer) Wood, Frank Wood, and Holly Messerlie; nieces and nephews, Tatyana, Anthony Jr., Anna, Gabriel, Abraham, Lia, Paulina, and Manny; and great niece, Nevaeh.
