Gerald Lorece "Jerry" Heiskel, Sr., 55, of Sioux City, gain his wings on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at Buena Vista Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa. Services will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, September 20, 2019 at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. A visitation with family present will begin at 4:00 pm until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.

Jerry, was born on November 20, 1963 to Nora L. Heiskell and George H. Goosby in Memphis, TN. Jerry attended Roswell B. Mason of Chicago, IL and Romeoville High School of Romeoville, IL. Jerry received Christ at Wheaton Christian Center in Wheaton, IL. He joined the United States Army in 1983 and completed a tour in Korea and received an honorable discharge in 1987. He relocated from Romeoville, IL to Sioux City in 1992.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three devoted children, Keira Antionette Heiskell, Gerald Lorece Heiskell Jr, and Yazmine Jerece Heiskell; five grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jasmine, Amir, Alijah, and Cameron; parents, Nora and George Goosby of Memphis, TN; two brothers Gerard Heiskell Sr of Chicago, IL and Eric (Cassidy) Harper of Downers Grove, IL; five sisters, Vanessa Butler and Tracey Harper of Memphis, TN, Tamarra (Kenneth) Holloway of Chicago, IL Deborah Pope of Atlanta, GA, and Jennifer Goosby of Oakbrook Terrace, IL; three aunts, Alma Killebrew, Mille Sutherland, and Shirley (Jessie) McGhee of Memphis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Sadly, his brother, Larry (Jim) James Jr. and grandson, DeMarcus Jr. preceded him in death.
