SLOAN. Iowa - Merrill F. Linscott, 72, of Sloan, died Tuesday at a hospital in Onawa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Wood Funeral Home in Sloan. The Rev. Victor Engelmann will officiate. Burial will be in the Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs.

Mr. Linscott was born Nov. 19, 1906, in Sloan, and was a life-long resident. He married Etta Bodenstedt in 1939, in Sloan. He was a carpenter.

Survivors include one son, Merlin Lee of West Point, Neb.; two brothers, Calvary of Sloan and Wayne L. of Idaho Falls, Ida.; five sisters, Mrs. Lucille Sumner, Mrs. Howard (Ruby) Bray and Mrs. Milo (Irma) Hunter, all of Sloan, Mrs. Howard (Marie) Myers of Onawa and Mrs. Harold (Ruie) McKain of Shawnee Mission, Kan. and two granddaughters.
