HORNICK, Iowa-- Mrs. Barbara Kirsch, 91, of Hornick died in a Sioux City hospital Thursday after a short illness. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Walter Funeral Home, Mapleton, the Rev. Everett Epperson officiating. Burial will be in Willow Cemetery near Holly Springs. A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

The former Barbara Becker was born Jan. 26, 1893, near Holly Springs and lived all her life in the Holly Springs and Hornick area. She married G. Albert Kirsch Feb. 18, 1914, at Holly Springs, and they farmed in the area. He preceded her in death Oct 23, 1957.

She was a member of the Church of Christ of Holly Springs, member and past president of the church’s Ladies Aid Society, past secretary of the church and a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Vincent (Elsie) Yokubaitis of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Robert (Lillian) Leitt of Seattle, Wash., two sons, Francis and Harold, both of Hornick; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, Mrs. Lizzie Forney of Hornick and two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Forney of Hornick and Mrs. Mary Woods of Mapleton.
