Correctionville, Iowa -- Donna M. Hayes, 84, of Correctionville passed away on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at a local hospital.

Services are pending at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Correctionville. The Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Correctionville is in charge of the arrangements. Online condolences can be made at nicklasdjensenfh.com.

Donna Maxine Hayes was born July 2, 1936 in Correctionville to Lloyd and Marjorie (Courtney) Dunkelberger.

Donna was united in marriage to Rudy Hayes on Sept. 21, 1958 in Correctionville. They were blessed with three children. The family made their home in Correctionville where Donna was a homemaker.

Her greatest joy was found in her children, grand- babies, quilting and her numerous friends. She also enjoyed woodcarving, crocheting and crafting. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered with Meals on Wheels. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Correctionville.

She is survived by her husband, Rudy Hayes of Correctionville; daughter, Gail (Eric) Daniels; son, Lloyd Hayes; granddaughters, Christy Beckwith, Jessi (Jason) Brill, Cortney (Owen) Berry, and Taylor Daniels; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Scarlett, Sydney, Lexie, Suzie, and Charley, all from Virginia.
