Everett M. Forney

Everett M. Forney, 65, 3401 Fourth Ave., died Wednesday afternoon at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Mr. Forney was born April 15, 1911, at Hornick, Iowa. He moved to Sioux City in the late 1920s. He married Edna A. Fundermann Nov. 14, 1933, at Dakota City.

Mr. Forney was employed by Sioux Transportation Co. as a truck driver in 1931. In 1945 he became employed by Holdcroft Transportation co. as a dispatcher for Tolerton & Warfield Co. He later was a dispatcher for National Food Stores, retiring in 1972.

He was a member of Morningside Lodge 615, AF&AM.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Jack L. and James E., both of Sioux City; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Forney of Hornick; a brother, Charles of Sioux City; five sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Mable) Schobonski of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Haskell (Marian): Piercy, Mrs. Evelyn Sexton, Mrs. Ivan (June) Madsen and Mrs. James (Gail) Lloyd, all of Hornick, and six grandchildren.

Arrangements are with the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home in Morningside.
