HOLLY SPRINGS, Iowa - Elizabeth (Lizzie) Forney, 101, of Holly Springs died Friday at the Pleasantview Nursing Home in Whiting.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Holly Springs Church of Christ with the Rev. Gary DeGeest officitating. Burial will be in the Willow Township Cemetery in Holly Springs. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Wood Funeral Home in Sloan.

The former Elizabeth Becker, daughter of Martin and Christina (Sattle) Becker, was born Nov. 22, 1886, at Holly Springs. She married Leonard Forney Feb. 12, 1908, in Sioux City. He died Jan. 16, 1963, in Holly Springs. She was a lifelong resident of Holly Springs until entering Pleasantview Nursing Home four years ago.

She was a member of the Holly Springs Church of Christ and the Ladies' Aid Society.

Survivors include a son, Charles of Sioux City; four daughters, Evelyn Sexton and Gail Lloyd, both of Hornick, Iowa, Mrs., Elmer (Mabel) Schibonski of Denver, Colo., and Marian Piercy of Whiting; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Everett, and a daughter, June Madsen.
