Edna A. Forney

Edna A. Forney, 90, Sioux City, died Saturday, March 13, 1993, at a Sioux City nursing home after a short illness.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Morningside Lutheran Church with the Rev. Steven Dornbusch officiating. Burial will in the Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs, Iowa. Visitation will be 2-9 p.m. today, with the family present 7-9 p.m., Nelson- Berger Morningside Chapel.

Mrs. Forney was born Oct. 7, 1902, in Schleswig, Iowa. She married Everett Forney Nov. 14, 1933, in Dakota City. He died July 14, 1976, in Sioux City. She had been a Sioux City resident for more than 60 years.

She was a Lutheran.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, James E. and Jeanie of Polk City, Iowa, and Jack L. and Janette of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Melvin (Ella) Gano of Sanborn, Iowa; three step-sisters, Lola Barnette of California, Donna Nollan of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Neva Bremmer of Holstein; and nine grandchildren, JoAnn K., Jeffrey L., Jason A., Justin H., Todd A., Craig E., and John M. Forney, and Ted A. Brader and Janna J. Brader.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: and four sisters.
