C. L. ("Len") Forney, 76, Holly Springs, died Wednesday at his home after a short illness.

Mr. Forney was born March 1, 1886 at Sloan. He married Elizabeth Becker February 12, 1918. They fanned near Holly Springs many years before retiring and moving to town.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Everett of Sioux City and Charles of Hornick; five daughters. Mrs. Marion Piercey of Holly Springs, Mrs. Gail Lloyd, Mrs. Evelyn Sexton and Mrs. June Madsen, all of Hornick, and Mrs. Mabel Schibonski of Denver, Colo.; four brothers, C. D. of Hornick. William of Sioux City, Theodore of Minneapolis, and Paul of Denver; three sisters, Mrs. Nell Van Cleve of Sloan, Mrs. Grace Washburn of Hornick and Mrs. Gladys Heck of Homer. Neb., and 16 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p. m. Saturday at the First Christian church at Holly Springs. Rev. Marshall Myers will officiate. Burial will be in the Willow cemetery near Holly Springs under direction of the Wood funeral home of Sloan.
