MRS. BERNARD FORNEY

Mrs. Bernard Forney, 51, Holly Springs, died Saturday in Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Holly Springs Christian Church. Rev. Charles Dutton will officiate. Burial will be in the Holly Springs Cemetery under direction of the Wood Funeral Home of Sloan.

A prayer service will be conducted at 8 o'clock this evening at the funeral home.

The former Bethene WcClaran, Mrs. Forney, was born March 5, 1917, at Piero, Iowa, and she lived in the Holly Springs area most of her life. She was married Sept. 10, 1938 in Sioux City.

Mrs. Forney was a member of the Climbing Hill Baptist Church and of the Holly Springs Christian Church Aid Society and had worked for several years for the Woodbury County Cancer and Heart Fund drives.

Survivors include the widower; four daughters, Mrs. Earl Welch of Denison, Iowa, and Linda, Sheri and Pamela, all at home; a son, Larry of Hornick; her father, C. 0. McClaran of Sioux City; two sisters, Miss Leona McClaran of Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mrs. Earl Birdsell of Storm Lake, Iowa; a brother, Marvin McClaran of Fort Collins, Colo.; and four grandchildren.
