GALVA, Iowa-- Bessie G. Dunhom, 87, of Galva died Monday at the Sunset Knoll Retirement Center in Aurelia, Iowa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Barker Funeral Home in Holstein, Iowa. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs, Iowa. There will be no visitation.

GALVA, Iowa -- Bessie Grace Dunhom, 87, of Galva died Monday, June 8, 1998, at the Sunset Knoll Retirement Home in Aurelia, Iowa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Barker Funeral Home in Holstein, Iowa, with the Rev. Lee Mentink officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Willow Township Cemetery at Holly Springs, Iowa. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Dunhom was born April 13, 1911, in Luton, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis E. and Florence Marie (Shepard) LeMoine. She graduated from Smithland (Iowa) High School in 1930.

She married Marvin Hult in 1933. She then married Daniel Leo Dunhom on Jan. 17, 1957, in Denison, Iowa. The couple lived in several different areas, where she was employed as a receptionist in various motels. They then moved to Sioux City. He died in 1976. She then moved to Galva.

Survivors include a nephew and his wife, Ronald and Mary Stanton of Galva; and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Faye Deeds, Maxine Huckelberry, Corabell Peterson and Edith Gaffey; and four brothers, Seth, Lewis, John and Wilbur LeMoine.
