IOWA RESIDENT 59 YEARS DIES

Mrs. Lydia Davis Is Dead in Hornick at "Age of 94.

After a short illness Mrs. Lydia Davis, for 59 years an Iowa resident, died at her home in Hornick, Ia. Friday at the age of 94. She was the wife of W. A. R. Davis, a veteran of the civil war.

Mrs. Davis was born July 11, 1832 in Pennsylvania, and came to Holly Springs, la., in 1873. Her first Husband was Edward Nicholas, who died in 1869. She then married Mr. Davis and had been his wife 58 years. The house in which she died had been their home for half a century.

Besides the widower, Mrs. Davis is survived by three daughters, Mrs. John Prichard. Mrs. L. J. Moulin and Mrs. Cora Hall of Hornick, and one son, John, who lives in California. A son, Edward, died in 1923. Ralph Prichard a state representative from Woodbury county, is a grandson. Orlie Prichard another grandson is a prominent school official of Des Moines.
