Brothers-in-Law, Both with Broken Hips, Die Near Same Time
Injured the same day, William Yeo, 72, and B. F. Chaney, 80, brothers-in-law, of Hornick, died within an hour and half of each other Thursday afternoon in a hospital here of complications resulting from fractured right hips.
An orthopedic surgeon said the two fractures were nearly identical.
Mr. Yeo, who suffered his injury the afternoon of January 30 in a fall on the sidewalk in front of the Chaney home where he lived, died at 2:30 o'clock. Mr. Chaney, who broke his hip in a fall in his home the morning of January 30, passed away at 4 o'clock.
Mr. Chaney who was partly paralyzed as the result of a stroke, is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Chaney, Mr. Yeo's sister. Mr. Yeo was a bachelor.
The bodies were taken to the Becker funeral home at Hornick.
