22 August 1916BURNS -- In Sioux City, Ia., August 21, 1916, , 80 years old of Hornick, la. in a hospital, of diabetes. He had been living with his daughter, Mrs. J. F. Yockey, of Hornick.
He is survived by one other daughter and six sons. He was a member of the G. A. R. He served in the Sixteenth Iowa infantry. The body is at the Anderson & Flagler undertaking establishment and probably will be sent to Hornick for burial.
