S. C. CHILD IS KILLED BY AUTO

Four-Year-Old Girl Hit by Car Driven by a South Dakotan.
Injuries suffered Tuesday morning, when she was struck by an automobile, were fatal a short time later to Loleta Corporon, 4-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Corporon, 403 Fawcett street.
The little girl died at a hospital, where she was taken in a police ambulance immediately following the accident which occurred in the 2400 block on Riverside avenue.
Loleta was believed to have suffered internal injuries when she was knocked to the pavement by the automobile. She was conscious and able to talk to relatives until a few minutes before she died.
Loleta and her sister, Viola 6 years old were walking along the sidewalk and started to cross the street, coming from behind an auto parked at the curb. Viola noticed the approach of an auto being driven by Ross Inman, Watertown, S. D. and attempted to grasp her younger sister and pull her out of its path but was unsuccessful, the auto striking Loleta and knocking her down.
Coroner J. H. Robbins was notified and conducted an investigation.
The body is at Anderson's undertaking parlors pending funeral arrangements.
