CORNELIUS ARNOLD

Cornelius Stout Arnold, 91, of Hornick, died at a Sioux City nursing home Saturday morning after a long illness.

Mr. Arnold was born July 21, 1873, at Holly Springs. He married Addie Seamans of Holly Springs in 1897. The couple farmed near Holly Springs several years, and Mr. Arnold moved to Hornick in 1944 after his wife's death. He served as township tax assessor for more than 35 years and was a member of the Christian Church and the Royal Neighbors lodge.

Survivors Include four sons, Ward R. of Champaign, ILL.; Floyd J. of Montevideo, Uruguay, South America; Palmer B. of Houston, Tex., and Cornelius of Cranford, N.J.; one daughter, Mrs. Ragner Ostensen of Hornick; one brother, Frank of Sloan; one sister, Mrs. Helen Green of Valle Crusis, N.C.; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside.
