Francis Woods

Francis Woods, 99, of Sioux City died Friday, Dec. 20, 1996, at the Countryside Retirement Home.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Zion Baptist Church, with the Rev. Floyd Brown officiating. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at the Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home.

Mrs. Woods was born Sept. 26, 1897, in Georgia. She moved to Sioux City as a child.

She graduated from the Oreo System of Beauty College in South Sioux City in 1922.

She married Joe Woods on Aug, 19, 1933 in South Sioux City. He died in April 1979, in South Sioux City.

Mrs. Woods was employed with Cudahey and Armour Packing plants for many years.

She was a member of the Mount Zion Baptist Church.

Survivors include a niece, Vinnie, Summeal of Gary, Ind.
