Dennis Ray Lynch, 71, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020.
Abiding by his wishes, cremation will take place. Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be directed to meyerbroschapels.com.
Dennis was born the son of Charles and Frances (Spidell) Lynch on Aug. 29, 1949, in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from Riverside High School in 1968.
He honorably served his country in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was proud to be on the IWO JIMA ship that picked up the Apollo 13 astronauts.
After his military service, he worked for several electronic shops before starting his career at what is now WestRock. He worked there for many years until his retirement.
Dennis was a collector. He had a large collection of music, mostly classic rock, vinyl and CDs. He collected model cars and also had a love for movies which included a vast collection of old Westerns and action DVDs.
Dennis is survived by his siblings, Gary Lynch of California, Bruce (Vicki) Lynch of South Carolina, Bryce (Wanda) Lynch of Sioux City, Sandra Lynch of Sioux City, and Sherry Monk of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
