Emma M. Emmick, 88, of Sioux City died Saturday, Dec. 7, 1996, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Chirsty, Smith, and Hockenberry Funeral Home, with the Rev. David L. Cline, pastor at St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Emmick was born Nov. 15, 1908, in Le Mars, Iowa, the daughter of Charlie and Emma Dahlman. She married Edward Emmick in 1940 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sioux City. He died Jan, 10, 1996, in Sioux City. She was employed at Youngbergs Photography as a photo retoucher and for Eastman-Kodak Company.
Mrs. Emmick was a member of the St. Luke Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Emmick of Sioux City; two nephews, Ron and Don Emmick; and a niece, Margie Albeck.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Arthur and a sister, Martha.
