Otis McKinney

Otis McKinney, 85, of Gladbrook, Iowa died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1996, at the North Park Manor in Sioux City of congestive heart failure.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at the United Methodist Church in Gladbrook, with the Rev. Steve Williams officiating. Burial will be in Gethmann Cemetery.

Mr. McKinney was born Oct. 8, 1911, near Houston, Mo., the son of Wilburn and Ellen (Chambers) McKinney. He received his education in Houston area schools. He married Helen Gethmann on Sept. 28, 1930,in Glabrook.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the United Methodist Church, a charter member of the Gladbrook Lions Club, and served on the Board of Education for Gladbrook Community School.

Survivors include three sons, Lynn of Kingston, R.I., Mark of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Dale of Hinton, Iowa; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife; four brothers; and a sister.

Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Gladbrook.
