SIOUX CITY - Patrick Ray Jordan, 58, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha following an illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Kenny Hsu officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with military rites. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Patrick was born Sept. 20, 1950, in Sioux City, the son of Robert L. and Rose Mary (Feeney) Jordan. After graduating from Central High School, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Following his discharge, he attended Western Iowa Tech Community College while he worked at Container Corporation for 13 years. He founded Jordan Air Heating and Cooling located on West Seventh Street.

He married Sandra Fick on June 17, 1972. They had four daughters. Their marriage lasted until January 1995. He later married Violeta Benton on Nov. 11, 2000, in Nashua, Iowa.

He was a member and an elder at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed boating, fishing, playing pool, spending time with family and friends and making others laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Violeta; four daughters, Sonja and her husband, Curtis Ingalls of Denver, Colo., Judy Jordan and Mary Jordan and her husband, Robert Herfel of Sioux City and Christa and her husband, Termaine Babers of Sioux City; two step-sons, Brian and Bradley Benton, both of Sioux City; a brother, Chuck Jordan of Sioux City; and seven grandchildren, Tyler, Makayla, Kaelyn, Avery, Evan, Triston and Travin.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Judy Jordan; and a sister-in-law, Judy Jordan.

Pallbearers will be Ed Steeg, Van Carter, Roger Whitebeaver, Scott Krei, Robert Herfel, Curtis Ingalls and Bradley Benton.

Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Benton and Cal Greenleaf.
