Note: Her maiden name is Jordin. Her mother's maiden name was Robinson. Her first husband was Jesse Pendleton and they probably divorced. They had one daughter Pearl.

Emily C. Garbarski

Mrs. Emily C. Garbarski, 75, Anthon, died Monday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Garbarski was born in Union county, S. D., May 27, 1885, and lived there until 1900 when the family moved to the Akron, Ia., community. She was married to Frank Garbarski, July 5, 1927, at Orange City, Ia. She lived at Akron until 1944, when the family moved to Anthon.

Mrs. Garbarski was a member of the Christian church at Akron.

Survivors include the widower; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Elliott of Sioux City; a brother, George Jordin of Sioux City; a sister, Mrs. Will Pendleton of LeMars, Ia.; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the W. Harry Christy funeral home in Morningside, Rev. Sam Lenters of Mayflower Congregational church will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery at Anthon.
