Ivan A. Edgar, 69, Obert, Neb., former Sioux City resident, died Sunday at a Sioux City hospital after being stricken at his daughter's home in Salix, Iowa.

Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery at Sioux City. The Rev. Mark I. Bubeck of the Central Baptist Church will officiate. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. today at the Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Mr. Edgar was born Feb. 28, 1912, at Twin Falls, Idaho. He moved to Akron, Iowa, at the age of three with his parents and came to Sioux City at the age of twelve. He graduated from Central High School and the Chicago Radio Institute after which he returned to Sioux City and worked for Ray-De-O-Ray for several years.

He married V. Pearl Howell, Dec. 5, 1936, at Sioux City. The couple farmed near Storm Lake, Iowa for several years, Hartington, Neb. for eight years, and at Obert for 29 years retiring 1976.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Obert.

Survivors include the widow; one daughter Mrs. Dennis (Carolyn) Munch of Salix; two sons Frank of Lees Summit, Mo. and Richard of Waterloo, Neb.; two sisters Mrs Leo (Evelyn) Lamoureux of Varina, Iowa, and Mrs. William (Helen) Murray Newcastle, Neb. and four grandsons.
