14 April 2009SIOUX CITY -- Linda Kathleen Anderson, 57, of Sioux City went home to be with the Lord Sunday, April 12, 2009, at a local nursing home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Evangelical Free Church, with the Rev. Dan Doran officiating. Visitation with the family will be 4 to 6 p.m. today at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.
Linda was born Sept. 24, 1951, in Sioux City, the daughter of Martin and Dolores (Clark) Nielsen. She worked in the cafe court at Southern Hills Mall for several years.
She enjoyed playing Yahtzee with her mother. Her life revolved around her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her mother, Dolores Kamradt of Sioux City; her father, Martin "Jack" Nielsen and his special friend, Alma of South Sioux City; her children, Rodney Anderson of Sioux City, Shari Reinfeld of Florida, Jenny Anderson of Sioux City, Robin Broveak of Sioux City and Starla Anderson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and her brother, Bill Nielsen and his wife, Kim.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; a brother, Alan Nielsen; a sister, Rhonda Lee Saul; and a stillborn son, Gary Anderson Jr.
The family wishes to give a special thanks to Hospice of Siouxland and the staff at Indian Hills Nursing and Rehab Center.
