SIOUX CITY -- Peggy Marie (Veach) Bochmann, 59, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 612 Jennings St., Sioux City. Following the service her body will be cremated and private family burial of her cremains will be held Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel at 822 Jennings St. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Peggy was born Sept. 11, 1949 in Sioux City to Austin and Margie (Frank) Veach. She graduated from Dr. Martin Luther High School in New Ulm, Minn., in 1968. She attended Dr. Martin Luther College for one year pursuing a teaching career. She transferred to Western Iowa Tech and graduated with a RN degree in 1975. As a Registered Nurse, she worked at Mercy and for their Home Health Care. At the beginning of her nursing career she taught nursing classes at Western Iowa Tech.

She married Perry Bochmann on Feb. 14, 1976 in Omaha, Neb., at Good Shepherd Church. Peggy was a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church were she was a church organist, and Praise and Worship Leader. Peggy will forever be remembered for her great love for the Lord which she spent every day showing in her actions. She was always trying to improve herself and pass that on to others. She will be deeply, forever missed by all those whose lives she touched in her work, teaching, family and daily life.

She is survived by her husband Perry Bochmann of Sioux City; three children Sarah (Aaron) Fischer of Sioux City, Bethel (Erik) Tyger of Lima, Ohio, and Luke (fiancée Amber Flesjer) Bochmann of Arvada, Colo.; two grandchildren Emily Victoria Tyger and Austin Allen Tyger and one on the way, Natalie Grace Tyger; and a sister, Norma Amundsen of Newbrighton, Minn.

She was preceded in death by parents Austin and Margie Veach, and her brother Richard Veach.

Memorials may be sent to the Sioux City Gospel Mission to continue to give hope to those in need.

The family would like to thank all those who so lovingly and continually gave of themselves through prayer and support for the family in this difficult time in their lives. If possible, Peggy would have liked to personally recognize and thank each and every person who made this time easier for her and her family.
