1953Mrs. Walter Schleis, the former lola Heiden of Merrill, passed away at St. Vincent's hospital in Sioux City on April 27, 1953. She had been sick for 10 days.
Lola Heiden was born on December 26. 1928 at Merrill, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Heiden. On May 5, 1952, she was united in marriage with Walter Schleis at St. Joseph's church here. She was twenty-four years, four months, and one day of age.
Funeral services were held today, Thursday, April 30 at 9:00 a. m. at St. Joseph's church with Msgr. J. D. Fisch officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Walter; a two-month-old son, Randall LeRoy; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Heiden of Merrill; three brothers, Dwight of Merrill; Mainard of Durango, California; Harold of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa; three sisters; Mrs. Fred (Evelyn) Bock of Le Mars; Mrs. Marvin (Gladys) Dreeszen of Le Mars and Mrs. William (Verda) Delperdange; 10 niece and nephews.
Remains were at the Wiltgen- Luedtke funeral home until service time.
