26 March 2009SIOUX CITY -- Barbara J. Frye, 70, of Sioux City died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Tri-State Christian Church in South Sioux City. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Corning, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.
Barbara was born Nov. 2, 1938, in Corning, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Florence (Gillet) Smith. She was a homemaker, but also worked for several years as a secretary at Needham Packing.
She was a longtime member of Tri-State Christian Church.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Kelly and Jacquie of Sioux City; her mother, Florence Smith; and granddaughters, Sidney Joe Frye, Terren Morgan Frye and Tawney Mae Frye.
She was preceded in death by her father.
