SIOUX CITY -- Mildred Erickson, 101, of De Witt, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at Westwing Place in DeWitt.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Third Presbyterian Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Floyd Cemetery, Sioux City. Visitation will be 9 to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Schultz Funeral Home in DeWitt. Online condolences may be left at www.schultzfuneralhomes.com.

The daughter of William and Nellie (Torgerson) Back, Mildred was born March 4, 1907, in Holstein, Iowa.

On Jan. 16, 1929, she was married to Robert R. Erickson. He died on June 6, 1982. Mildred was a homemaker and volunteered in various activities. She was a Girl Scout leader, Sunday School teacher and was in Eastern Star. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Sioux City, where she was on the Deaconess board. Mildred lived in Sioux City until moving to DeWitt to be near her family.

Survivors include her grandchildren, Robert Muller of North Liberty, Iowa, Steve Muller of Altoona, Iowa, Ann (Don) Green of DeWitt, and Amy (John) Boden of Peculiar, Mo.; and six great-grandchildren, Alison, Ben and Sarah Muller, Jonathan and Rachel Green and Jamie Boden.

Mildred was preceded in death by her daughter, Bonnie Muller, and her brother, Oscar Back.
