SIOUX CITY -- Rebecca Lynn "Becky" Murdock, 34, passed away Saturday, Jan. 24, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital of natural causes.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Mohr Funeral Home in South Sioux City, with Pastor Lloyd Grant of Central Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin 5 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present at 6 p.m., and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Becky was born Dec. 9, 1974, to Robert and Hazel (Wood) Murdock. She lived in Sioux City all her life. She loved her children completely. She enjoyed being around family and friends, especially on holidays. Becky never knew a stranger and found good in everyone. Becky was loved and will be missed by everyone.

Survivors include two daughters, Sara and Jessie of Sioux City; a son, Koby of Mapleton, Iowa; her grandmother, June Murdock; three sisters, Rhoda (Carlos) delaCruz, Darla (Homero) Fuentes and Shelly (Scott) Grover, all of Sioux City; a brother, Michael Murdock of Richmond, W.V.; two aunts, Kathy (Brian) Hauck of Sioux City, and Fran (Gary) Soucie of Brownsburg, Ind.; uncles, Dan (Linda) Wood of Sioux City, and Chuck Rogers of South Sioux City; and numerous cousins.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Hazel Murdock; her grandfather, Roy Murdock; grandparents, Neal and Donna Wood; great-grandparents, Mary and Marvin Worden; uncles, Donald Murdock and Willie Wood; and aunts, Shirley Courtney, Louise Barbee, Marvel Murdock and Ruby Bauer.

The family would like to give special thanks to Coronary Care, Hospice and the sixth floor staff at Mercy Medical Center.
