25 January 2009SIOUX CITY -- Adeline F. Thomason, 88, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009, in Council Bluffs.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home in Council Bluffs.
Adeline was born in Midway, Iowa, to the late John and Freida (Rossow) Christiansen.
Survivors include a daughter, Gloria James of Council Bluffs; two grandchildren, Larry and wife, Jacque James of Neola, Iowa, and Nikki and husband, Darin Stevens of Omaha; three great-grandchildren, Jacob and Mandi James and Kyle Stevens; two sisters, Elna Ruring and Arlene Schindler, both of Sioux City; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Thomason in 1973; a son, Thomas Copenhaver; brothers, Alvin and Bill Christiansen; and a sister, Betty Ward.
