Margaret Foldenauer

Margaret Foldenayer, 86, died Sunday at her residence after a short illness.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Myer Brothers Colonial Chapel. The Rev. A.T. Washington, retired Methodist minister will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today with a prayer service at 7 p.,. in the funeral home.

Mrs. Foldenauer, the former Margaret Chalmers, was born June 23, 1900, in Marshall, Minn., and moved to Sioux City in 1919. She married Emil B. Kern Feb. 11, 1921, in Sioux City. She married William Foldenauer Oct. 2, 1944, in Dakota City. He died Sept. 17, 1965, in Sioux City.

Survivors include a son, Arthur Kern of Westfield, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. Oscar (Mildred) Peterson and Mrs. Nona Fickett, both of Sioux City; Mrs. William (JoAnne) Nagle of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Asjley (Genie) Osterbuhr of Kingsley, Iowa; a brother, Joseph Chalmers of Escondido, Calif.; 27 granschildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
