Louis Baron Owner of Bee Hive Store Here Succumbs To A Heart Attack Monday MorningPassed Away At His Home In Sioux City While Preparing To Make His Trip To Onawa. He Was Well Liked In Onawa and Was Making Many Friends
The news of the sudden death of Mr. Louis Baron owner of the Bee Hive Store in this city which occurred early Monday morning at his home in Sioux City was a shock to this community. Mr. Baron was in his store on Saturday and in the best of health. He was planning a big Christmas Business. His death occurred while he was preparing to come to Onawa.
The Democrat is informed that the store will be run along the same lines as heretofore. Mr. Ben Baron a nephew and who is well and favorable known in Onawa is now in charge of the store.
The Sioux City Journal on Tuesday morning published the following notice of the death of Mr. Baron.
Funeral services for Louis A. Baron, 48 years old, a well-known resident of Sioux City and a former merchant here, will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2’oclock in the residence at 716 Twenty-Third Street. Rabbi H R Rabinowitz will officiate, and burial will be in Floyd Cemetery. Mr. Baron died Monday at his home following a heart attack.
Mr. Baron, who operated the Bee Hive Store in Onawa, Iowa is a brother of Morris Baron, proprietor of the Baron department Store here. Mr. Baron was born in Russia in 1883 and when a small child, with his parents came to the United States and direct to Sioux City.
Survivors include his widow, Dora, a son, Arnold and a daughter, Dina all of Sioux City. He is also survived by seven brothers and sisters who also reside in Sioux City.
