SIOUX CITY -- Rita M. Roeder, 65, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at her residence following a lengthy illness.

Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Sunday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Leo Kostizen officiating.

Rita was born Sept. 25, 1943, in Sioux City, the daughter of Harry and Evelyn (Klammoth) Bartelt.
She loved to read, play games on the computer and go to the boat for entertainment, but most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons and their wives, Craig and Stacy Roeder and Clint and Jenay Roeder, all of Indiana; a daughter and her husband, Shyla and Rob Winkler of Indiana; grandchildren, Sawyer, Samantha, Corey, Cameron, JJ, Jordan and Carrie and her husband, Michael Birdsell; a great-grandchild, Perry; a sister and her husband, Mary and Duke Dobenspeck; two nephews, Mike Morey and his wife, Anita, of Sioux City and Scott Dobenspeck; a grandnieces and her husband, Wanita and Roger Lane and their son, Marcus of South Sioux City; and a grandnephew and his wife, Michael and Stephanie Morey and their children, Autumn and Jake of Sioux Falls, S.D.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and her husband, Anita and Marvin Wayman; and brothers, Frank Bartelt and Harry Bartelt Jr.
