HARTINGTON, Neb. -- Lucille A. Mauch, 95, of Sturgis, S.D., formerly of Hartington, died, surrounded by her family, on Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at the home of her daughter, Janice Folkers, in Sioux City.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington, with the Rev. John S. Andrews officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery at Hartington. Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. today at Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Visitation will resume one hour prior to services Friday at the church. Lucille was born on Aug. 28, 1913, in Wynot, Neb., to Francis and Kathryn (Pinkelman) Feelhaver. She grew up in the Wynot and Crofton areas and attended school in Crofton, Neb. Lucille married Joe Mauch on Nov. 21, 1934, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Sioux City. They lived and worked in Sioux City and on farms in Northwest Iowa before moving back to Hartington, where they started and ran Mauch Transfer.

In 1963 they moved to Yankton, where Lucille worked many years at Sacred Heart Hospital and the State Hospital. They moved to Sturgis in 1984 where, until her death, Lucille did domestic work for many families. She was a loving mother, grandmother and homemaker. She loved to play the nickel slots in Deadwood.

Lucille is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Janice and Duane Folkers of Sioux City and Kary and Gene Stock of Sturgis, S.D.; nine grandchildren, Lora (Tom) Gilliam, Chad Folkers, Anne (Tim) Trudeau, Johnny Galbraith, Holly Galbraith, Brian (Janet) Stock, Brad Stock, Santana Berg and Dawn (Emery) Schmidt and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe on Dec. 15, 1985, at the age of 77; three children, Connie Sue Galbraith, Larry and David Mauch; two sisters, Eleanor Evans and Jean Kneifl; and a grandson, Jason Stock.

Pallbearers will be Brian Stock, Brad Stock Tim Trudeau, Tom Gilliam, Travis Gilliam and Pete Hittle.
