Violet J. Adams, 87, of Sioux City died Thursday, Oct. 20, 2005, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Wesley United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Merrill Muller officiating. The body will be cremated following the service Saturday. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m today at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. Adams was born Oct. 10, 1918, in Dante, S.D., the daughter of August and Minnie (Kocmich) Kloucek. She attended Sioux City schools.

She married Wesley G. Adams on April 22, 1935, in Elk Point, S.D. He died Jan. 1, 1983, in Sioux City.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Siouxland Senior Center.

Survivors include two sons, Cary Adams and his wife, Teresa of Parnell, Iowa, and Kevin Adams of Aurora, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Amber and Blair of Parnell, Iowa, Lindsey Courtney and Lee of Aurora, Ill., Vanessa DeSouza of Summerville, Mo., Tina Nenno and Steve of Nine Mile Falls, Wash., Rhonda Schincke and Larry of Summerville, Mo., Michela Hagood and Paul of Belen, N.M., Daniel DeSouza and Tammy of Springfield, Mo., and Michael DeSouza and Mario Procita of Littleton, Colo.; a son-in-law, Tony Procita and Myrne of Thornton, Colo.; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Sharon Rae Procita; three sisters; five brothers; and seven nephews.
