Frances I. O’Connor, 64, of Sioux City died Monday, June 2, 1997 at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, with the Rev. Lawrence McCarty officiating. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and a scriptural wake service at 7:30 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mrs. O’Connor was born September 16, 1932, in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Irene (O’Brien) Kielty. She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Waterloo, Iowa.

She married Thomas O’Connor on December 28, 1950 in Waterloo. The couple came to Sioux City in 1970. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Terri Mazar of Sioux City and Julie and her husband, Harry Arthur III of Winter Spring, Florida, a brother and his wife, Robert and Helen Kielty of Waterloo; three sisters and their husbands, Mary and Harold Clough of Waterloo, Jean and John McKinney of Wichita, Kansas and Geri and Gary Loonan of Des Moines, Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Gail O’Connor of Dakota Dunes and seven grandchildren, J.J., Mindy, Elizabeth, Teresa and Bethany Arthur, Cody and Corrience O’Connor.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Timothy E.
