Vaughan – In Sioux City, Iowa, Wednesday, February 14, 1912, Payton S. Vaughan, at his home, of muscular rheumatism aged 67 years. Mr. Vaughan came to Iowa in the 70s, taking up a homestead near LeMars. He moved to Sioux City in 1890, where he engaged in the real estate and loan business.

His widow and five daughters survive. The daughters are Mrs. E. J. Fraser, of Clough, South Dakota, Mrs. L.D. Magelssen of Mitchell, South Dakota, Mrs. C. B. Carter, Mrs. John Jacobs and Miss Florence Vaughan, all of Sioux City. The funeral services will be announced later.
