Mrs. Anastasia Coleman, 69 years old, died of heart trouble early yesterday morning at her home, 715 Bluff Street, where she had lived for the last forty-eight years. She came to Sioux City in March 1871.

Mrs. Coleman was the widow of Thomas Coleman who came to Sioux City in 1869. They were married May 10, 1871, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, which stood at Sixth and Pierce Streets. Mr. Coleman, who died in March 1901 was a watchman in the old Booge packing house. He had a wide acquaintance and it was said people set their clocks by him on his going and coming from the plant.

Surviving are three sons and three daughters; T.W. Coleman of Indianapolis, Indiana, Mrs. J.A. Rae, S.J. Coleman, C.H. Coleman, Helen F. Coleman and Mrs. J.R. Pierson of Sioux City and eight grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday morning at the Cathedral of the epiphany. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
