Jennifer "Jenny" Lake, 47, of Riverside, formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at her home in Riverside, after a courageous battle with breast cancer, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday at Arlington Mortuary in Riverside. Graveside Service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Olivewood Memorial Park.

She was born on Feb. 15, 1971, in Sioux City, to Lana and Robert Lake. She spent her early years in Sioux City and graduated from East High School in 1989. After relocating to Redlands, Calif. in 1992 and later moving to Riverside, she worked as an accountant for various companies, ending her career at HUB International.

Her greatest joys in life were watching her son, Deshaun, play basketball, watching the Chicago Bulls, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends. With five generations of family spread throughout the country, her family continues to grow. A wonderful lady, daughter, sister, mom, aunt and friend, she will be missed by so many.

She is survived by her son, Deshaun Highler; parents, Lana (Rex) Fischer and Robert Lake; sister, Bobbi Lake; nieces, Shalea and Kasandra Lake; nephews, Kyle and Kody Lake; grandnephew, Darius Lake; and several loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Ralph Junck and William Lake; grandmother, Marion Lake; and brother, Richard Lake.
