Agnes M. Wiederholt, 84, of Sioux City, formerly of Granville, died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville, with the Rev. Dan Greving officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery at Granville. Visitation with family present will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday. There will be a parish rosary and vigil prayer service at 5 p.m. at the church in Granville. Arrangements are under the direction of Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, Iowa. Condolences may be sent online to www.fischfh.com.

Agnes was born Nov. 17, 1933, in rural Granville, the daughter of Joseph and Eleanore (Oberbroekling) Schuver. She was raised in the Granville area. She attended rural school until the 6th grade, then St. Joseph Catholic School in Granville, from which she graduated in 1951.

On Nov. 17, 1953, she married Marvin Wiederholt at Granville. They lived in various communities in Iowa and Minnesota. They were divorced in March 1986. In 2014, she moved to Sioux City.

Agnes was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, church guild and Christian Mothers. She enjoyed making wedding, anniversary and graduation cakes and oil painting scenery pictures.

Survivors include five daughters, Karen (Tom) Pottebaum of Granville, Jeanne Dooley and her special friend, Virgil Hansen of Garretson, S.D., Dianne "Dodie" (Steven) Mooney of Hawkins, Texas, Linda (Don) Nieland of Marion, Iowa, and Carmen (Jeff) Donaldson of Sioux City; 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a sister, Irene (Martin) Gaul of Wausau, Mo.; a brother, Rudy (Winona) Schuver of Enumclaw, Wash.; and two sisters-in-law, Geraldine Schuver of Remsen, Iowa, and Rita Wiederholt of Le Mars, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Randy Wiederholt; a granddaughter, Alesia Mooney; a great-granddaughter, Brea Mooney; two brothers, Henry and Walter Schuver; and a sister, Lorraine Konz.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Cheri Waterhouse, April Wiederholt, Beau Zorgdrager, Amber Swanson, Katie Wilson, Waylon Swanson, William Mooney, Amanda White, Tony Nieland and Brittni Donaldson.
