Dariel "Ricky" Williams, 63, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life in Christ Church, 2929 W. 4th Street in Sioux City, with a visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sergeant Bluff.

Ricky was the life of the party no matter where he went, and he was known for his giant laugh and warm smile. He was a man with a heart of gold and would always go out of his way to help anyone he could. Affectionately known as "Uncle Rick" or "Unc," he was a role model and father figure to not only his children, but his nieces, nephews, and many of the young people in town. He was a former employee of John Morrell.

He loved sports, especially football; his favorite team was the Chicago Bears. Ricky spent countless hours watching old westerns into the wee hours of the night.

He is survived by his loving significant other of 31 years, Elaine Kennedy; seven children, Dariel Dodd, Amber Bloomfield, Darrel (Amber) James, McKenzie Williams, Lukeus Williams, Brooke (Gary) Hensley, and Ryan (Krisi) Kennedy; 11 grandchildren; seven siblings, Ruth (Henry) Heard, Joan Williams, Robert (Karen) McDaniel, Gary (Angela) McDaniel, Artillius (Jacqueline) McDaniel, Yasmin (Donald) Smith and LaShaun Windon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Earthie Lee; and four siblings, Lynwood, Jessie, William and Gwendolyn.

Flowers and condolences can be sent to Waterbury Funeral Home in Dariel’s name
