11 January 1926Sliding Hills Take Another Victim Sunday
Another coasting accident Sunday evening claimed a 10-year-old girl, Mary Bocian, 104 North Paxton Street, as the victim. Mary suffered severe body bruises and possibly a fractured leg.
The girl was coasting near her home when her sled got beyond her control and crashed into an automobile driven by Fred Troy, 1210 South Helen Street, at East First and Paxton Streets.
Troy took the girl to St. Joseph’s Hospital, where attending physicians said she had suffered severe body bruises about her body and an x-ray examination will be made today to ascertain whether or not one leg is fractured.
