Etta Lee "Gaga" Polaykoff, 88, of Sioux City, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at a local hospital.

Private graveside services were held. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Etta was born on Oct. 22, 1929, in St. Louis, Mo. She was adopted by Frank and Sarah (Kumin) Ginsburg. Etta graduated from Central High School in 1948. She married Ben Polaykoff on Feb. 6, 1949 in Sioux City. He preceded her in death on April 1, 2005 in Sioux City.

Etta, lovingly known as "Gaga," loved spending time with her family, reading and watching TV game shows and home shopping networks. She loved talking on the phone, earning the nickname "Ettaphone."

Survivors include her children, Marci Beman of St. Cloud, Minn., Cindy Dishlip of Portland, Ore., and Barb (Kent) McCuddin of Sioux City; six grandchildren, Mandi Beman (Justin), Meagan Bennett (Matt), Jason Dishlip (Josh), Amy Dishlip, Allison Poss (Benett), and Britni Tondreau (Landon); and six great-grandchildren, Jack, Max, Benjamin, Sylvester, Zyanna, and Graham.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Jordan Ginsburg; and grandson, Aaron Steven McCuddin.
