James A. Coffman 1861 - 1939

James A. Coffman, 77, retired farmer, died Thursday night in his home, 723 Market, after a short illness of pneumonia. The body is in the Perasso Brothers Funeral Home.

Mr. Coffman, who had been a farmer until he retired and moved here 12 years ago from Lake Andes, South Dakota, was born June 19, 1861, in Appanoose County, Iowa.

Survivors include his widow, Nellie; two sons, Ray of Sioux City and James of Lake Andes; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Kellison, Mrs. Elsie Martin and Mrs. Ruby Lawrence, all of Sioux City and a sister, Mrs. Alice Vandougs of Missouri Valley, Iowa.
