Mrs. Anna M. Figum 1863 - 1939

Mrs. Anna M. Figum, 2514 South Coral Avenue, died in her home Thursday following a lingering illness. She was born at Freeport, Illinois, August 1, 1863 and as a child moved to Blomingdale, Wisconsin. Before moving to Sioux City in 1901 she lived at Soldiers’ Grove, Wisconsin and Decorah, Iowa.

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Olson. Her husband, Peter Figum, died in 1927.

She is the past president of the Ladies of the G.A.R. and was a member of the First Lutheran Church.

She is survived by three daughters, Mae Figum and Mrs. Clara Brant of Sioux City and Mrs. Nora Wolcott of Omaha. In addition she is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Anderson of Viola, Wisconsin, Mrs. Hannah Berger of Cromwell, Minnesota and Mrs. Ida Soelberg of Sioux City, and three brothers, John and Alfred Olson of Sioux City and Emil Olson of Seattle.

The body is in Nelson-Berger pending funeral arrangements.

Funeral service for Mrs. Anna M. Figum, 75, of 2514 South Coral, will be conducted Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in First Lutheran Church with Rev. L.E. Tallakson officiating. Then the body will be sent by the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home to Decorah, Iowa for further services and burial.

Mrs. Figum died in her home Thursday after a lingering illness.
