Mrs. Lottie Van Buskirk 1859 - 1939

Mrs. Lottie Van Buskirk, 79, native and lifelong resident of Iowa, died Friday night in the home of her daughter, Mrs. A.J. Gamble, 2322 Douglas, following a three months’ illness of pneumonia.

The body was sent to the Ross Funeral Home at Hawarden, Iowa and funeral services and burial will be at Craig, Iowa.

Survivors include five sons, James LeRoy of Sioux City, Ira of Hawarden and Frank, William and Seward, all of Craig; two daughters, Mrs. Sylvia Benton of South Sioux City and Mrs. Gamble; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Bushlow of Akron; a brother, Frank Negus of Rock Island, Illinois, 23 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Born November 16, 1859, at Davenport, she moved to a farm near Craig in Plymouth County where she resided for a half century before moving to Sioux City a year ago to make her home with her daughter.
