Mrs. Fred Patterson Died 1939
Mrs. Fred Patterson, 72, former resident of Sioux City and for many years president of the Woodbury County W.C.T.U., was killed in Long Beach, California March 14, friends here have been informed, when struck by an automobile.
Mrs. Patterson was struck by the car when returning to her home after attending church services Sunday, March 12. She succumbed in the Seaside Hospital in Long Beach.
Mrs. Patterson was national vice president of the Parliamentarians and widely known as a W.C.T.U. lecturer.
Her husband was a stock buyer here for many years and now is engaged in the same pursuit in St. Paul. Mrs. Patterson was in California to spend the winter. The couple had only one son, who died about five years ago. They left Sioux City about 10 years ago.
