Albert J. Rudonis Victim of Mishap in San Francisco
Albert J. Rudonis, 30, son of Mrs. Christine Rudonis, 510 S. Westcott Street, was killed in an explosion in San Francisco Monday morning.
Details of his death have not been received here, but he was employed as a stationary engineer and died as a result of electrocution and burns suffered in the explosion.
Mr. Rudonis was a navy veteran of 12 years and had been discharged in February 1946, as a chief petty officer. He was married April 27, at San Francisco.
Born in Sioux City August 30, 1915 he was graduated from East High School in 1933. He entered the nay immediately after graduation and served continuously until his discharge.
Survivors include the widow, Rose Marie of San Francisco and his mother and two brothers, Stanley and Frank, all of Sioux City.
The body is being sent to Sioux City for burial and will be accompanied by the widow. The Rutledge Funeral Home will have charge of arrangements here.

Funeral services for Albert J. Rudonis, 30, son of Mrs. Christine Rudonis, 510 S. Westcott Street, who was killed in an explosion Monday in San Francisco, will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Rev. George Cesna will officiate and burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Rutledge’s Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Peter Shaputis, Martin Pomasiunas, Benedict Zebus, Peter Nashleanas, Walter Sunclades and Anton Tumilovich.
