Arthur W. Veach

Arthur W. Veach, 60, of 714 Jackson, retired employee of the Great Northern, died Friday night in a hospital after a lingering illness. The body is in the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home.

Mr. Veach, born February 21, 1879, at Hopeville, Iowa, spent his boyhood at Jackson, Nebraska and came to Sioux City 35 years ago. He was a section foreman when he retired in May 1922. Mr. Veach was a member of the Riverside Methodist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Maude; one son, Loren of Sioux City, one daughter, Mrs. Violet Withrow of Sioux City; two granddaughters, two brothers, Austin of DeLacs, North Dakota and Ross of Minot, North Dakota and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Breslin of Sanish, North Dakota.

Funeral services for Arthur W. Veach, 60, of 714 Jackson, retired employee of the Great Northern railroad, who died Friday night, were conducted at 3 p.m. Monday in the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home. Rev. J.V. Madison officiated, and burial was in Logan Park Cemetery.
