Mrs. Anna Nord 1873 – 1946

Mrs. Anna Nord, 72, died at her home, 2410 Dearborn Street, Tuesday morning after an extended illness. She was born in Sweden, October 10, 1873 and came to the United States when she was 19 years old.

After living in Red Oak, Iowa, for a short time she moved to Sioux City in 1895. In 1897 she married Andrew Nord, who died in November, 1939; Mrs. Nord was a member of the Augustana Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Edna Rowe and Miss Helen Nord, both of Sioux City, two sons, Roland, Albany, California and Harold, El Cirrito, California, one sister, Mrs. Paulina Litzell of Sweden and six grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Nelson-Berger Funeral Home.
